Hello! I'm Heidi.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, burned out, anxious, or disconnected from yourself after years of trying to meet everyone else's expectations. Many of the clients I work with are LGBTQ+ adults, ADHDers, caregivers, perfectionists, and high achievers. They’ve spent so much energy adapting, masking, caring for others, or trying to get things right that they've lost touch with what makes them who they are, like their own needs, identity, and voice.
I am especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ adults and neurodivergent individuals as they navigate questions of identity, belonging, relationships, self-acceptance, and authenticity. Many of my clients know exactly what everyone else needs from them but struggle to identify what they need themselves. Others find themselves caught in patterns of people pleasing, perfectionism, overthinking, or difficulty setting boundaries that leave them feeling exhausted and disconnected from who they truly are.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore the patterns that have shaped your life. Together, we'll build on your strengths while exploring what may no longer be serving you. Through parts work, somatic awareness, self-compassion, and evidence-based practices, we'll create space for every part of you to feel seen, understood, and valued. My goal is to help you develop greater self-trust, deepen your connection with yourself, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, sustainable, and fulfilling.
My work is guided by a long commitment to social justice, LGBTQ+ communities, and neurodiversity. It is also informed by my BA in Psychology, PhD in Education, current MSW studies at the University of Michigan, and more than 20 years of experience supporting adults through learning, growth, self-discovery, and life transitions.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, exploring LGBTQ+ bookstores, hiking, and spending time with my pets, friends, and family.
If you're considering therapy, I invite you to reach out by email or text. I will respond within 24 hours to schedule a free consultation. Even if I'm not the right fit, I'm happy to help connect you with someone who may be.
